FR J’explore différents possibilités d’interaction avec l’espace complexe de la Méditerranée : je manipule une image de la mer que j’ai téléchargé sur Internet et imprimé sur papier. Je reflet sur des nouvelles représentation de la mer Méditerranée que je considère un territoire, un lieu d’expérimentation et transformation. Mes geste sont emblématiques : je représente la duplicité entre connexion et séparation qui caractérise cette portion d’espace aquatique qui est à la fois frontière et chemin de rencontre. Le fil à coudre connecte different parties en gardant leur distance. Cela est aussi une métaphore des relations que chaque contexte socio-culturel engendre et qui sont très interessantes à observer dans un milieu complexe et transformante comme celui de la Méditerranée. Mon but est également de reflechir sur la photographie contemporaine en tant que processus de recherche et œuvre ouverte qui peut soulever des questions, au lieu de donner réponses ou représentations fixes.
EN I explore new possibilities of interaction within the complex space of the Mediterranean: I play with the photographic image of the sea I downloaded from the Internet and printed on a piece of paper; I reflect on new representations of the Mediterranean sea that I consider as a territory/place for experimentation and transformation. My gestures are emblematic like signs representing the duplicity of separation and connection, main characteristics of this portion of water which is both frontier and a possible path of interconnection. The sewing thread puts different parts in relation but keeps them at a certain distance, separated but connected. This is a metaphor of relationships observable in any socio-cultural context but they become even more interesting in complex contexts like the Mediterranean, where both identities and territories are transforming. My aim is also to reflect on contemporary photography as a process of research and as an open work which raises questions instead of giving answers or fixed representations.
